For the past 34 years, only to be interrupted by COVID in 2020, Sherston has a Knockout Boules Tournament on the first Saturday in July, Bastille Day. The High Street is closed to traffic and 120 teams enter into a frenetic day of jovial competitiveness.

The photo right shows Nick Price (second from left) and his wife Sandy (centre), owners of Chateau de Lamazere, Kate (second from right) and Neil (far left) along with that years winning team from France celebrating outside Balcony House.
