His Royal Highness Prince Charles visits Sherston to formally open The Old School Project.  This £900,000 development, one of the largest community projects in the UK, transforming the unused Victorian School in the High Street into the lynchpin for the community of Sherston and surrounding villages.

The Prince’s Countryside Fund, founded by Prince Charles in 2010, donated £50,000 towards the renovation project. Helping to ensure the completion of the works which had stalled at the final hurdle.

The Countryside Fund awards over one million pounds in grants each year to rural communities who are without access to transport, jobs, housing, shops and community spaces.
